Epistemion LLC (“Epistemion,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a software engineering firm based at 1713 South State Street, Champaign, Illinois 61820. This privacy policy explains what information we collect when you visit epistemion.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

We try to collect as little personal information as possible. The information we do collect falls into three categories:

• Information you give us directly. When you fill out the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the message you send. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry.
• Information collected automatically. When you visit the site we use Google Analytics to collect aggregated, anonymized usage information such as page views, browser type, device type, country, and the pages you visit. This helps us understand which content is useful and how to improve the site.
• Cookies. The site uses a small number of cookies set by Google Analytics for the purposes described above. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

We use the information we collect to:

• Respond to messages and inquiries you send us.
• Schedule and prepare for consultations you book through the site.
• Understand how the site is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for advertising or share it with marketing partners.

The site relies on a small number of third-party services:

• Google Analytics for aggregated visitor analytics.
• Google Apps Script for receiving contact form submissions and routing them to our support email.
• Google Calendar for scheduling consultations through our public booking link.
• Firebase Hosting for serving the site itself.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy and may collect technical information (such as IP addresses) as part of normal operation. We do not control their data practices beyond the integration choices we have made.

Contact form submissions are stored in our email inbox for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and maintain a record of the conversation. Aggregated analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' default retention settings.

You have the right to ask us what information we hold about you, to request a copy, or to ask us to delete it. To make a request, email us at support@epistemion.com and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

You can also disable analytics tracking in your browser by enabling Do Not Track, using a browser extension like Google Analytics Opt-Out, or blocking cookies in your browser settings.

The site is intended for business audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page. For significant changes we will make a more visible announcement.
