Do you work with small businesses or only large enterprises?
We work with businesses of every size, from solo operators and small local businesses to large enterprises and university units. Custom software is often most impactful for smaller organizations that have been forced to adapt their workflow to generic tools. We tailor scope and budget to fit the customer.
Are you only local to Champaign-Urbana, or do you take remote clients?
We are based in Champaign, Illinois, but we work with clients across the United States. Most of our discovery and project work happens remotely. For clients in central Illinois we are happy to meet in person when it helps.
What does a typical project look like?
Most engagements start with a free 60-minute consultation to understand your operation and goals. From there we scope the work, deliver a proposal, and iterate with you in short feedback cycles until the software ships and is in real use. We support what we build and stay involved as your needs evolve.
How long does a project usually take?
It depends on the scope. Smaller tools and dashboards can ship in a few weeks. Larger custom platforms with multiple integrations typically run a few months. We give you a realistic timeline up front rather than a wishful one.
What technologies do you work with?
We work across many stacks depending on what fits the project, including Flutter and Dart for cross-platform mobile and web, .NET and C# for desktop and enterprise applications, Python for data and automation pipelines, Next.js and React for modern web experiences, and cloud databases like Firestore and PostgreSQL. We choose tools based on what fits the customer, not the other way around.
Do you offer ongoing support after launch?
Yes. Software is never finished, and we believe in long-term partnerships rather than ship-and-disappear engagements. We offer ongoing maintenance, feature additions, and operational support based on what each client needs.
How much does a typical engagement cost?
Cost depends on scope, complexity, and timeline. We provide a written proposal after the free consultation so you know exactly what you are getting and what it costs before any work begins. We do not believe in surprise invoices.
Will I own the code you build for me?
Yes. The work we deliver belongs to you. We do not hold your code or data hostage, and we are happy to hand off complete documentation when an engagement wraps up.
